Dear Indian Parents...

Dear Indian parents.... I just have no idea ; but why this hypocrisy ? Teaching their daughters how to cook, but not teaching their sons this basic, important life skill. Blaming the daughter for being harassed/ abused, but not the son when he harasses someone. Telling your daughter to adjust with the abuse in her house and hiding/ defending bad behaviour of your son to his wife. Wanting your son to take interest and speak up on family matters, but expecting your daughter to keep out of it. Serving food first to the men of the family and the women can eat later as it is the 'caring' thing to do.  Emphasise the importance of financial independence & investment of your son, but not doing the same for your daughter. But why ?? Once again ; but WHY ?! Trying to resolve this.... Still in progress.... Still.... Wishing you all to have a good day. Thanking you :)

The Great Indian Education !

Have you seen this scene from the movie, 'Oru Vadakkan Selfie' ?  A glimpse of the scene from the malayalam movie, 'Oru Vadakkan Selfie' Link of the above scene from Youtube, for those who have not seen it (subtitles are not available) :  https://youtu.be/76PdN2m76jw Watching Umesh, we hardly could control our laugh, citing his inability to fill a form or to pick up vegetables over the rotten ones. Or how to live it ?  To the proud parents out there ; Did you teach them what it would be like to live the life ? The Indian educational curriculum in which they teach us the year at which the apple fell on Newton's head and the way through which the horse from th...

Time for a change

We all go through many changes 24 hours a day. Nature itself goes through thousands of changes from dawn to dusk. Each of us accepts all these changes to move forward in our lives. But, we should definitely think whether we actually/usually find ourselves ready to embrace the changes in the individuals and in our own personal lives. Changes are natural in human beings as they go through many stages and various paths in life. But many of us refuse to accept or understand it. Thoughts like 'They should treat me like this' and 'They had promised me before' are the factors that pull us back from accommodating changes. There is no point in insisting that it should always be the same.   Be it anyone in the world ; never expect anything from them. If you cannot understand what their life make them experience, just don't waste your precious time for it. Also, try to be self-sufficient in understanding and accepting them.  There is nothing constant in this world. The air we ...
